Telefault GPS Clock Synchronizer
A simple and inexpensive substation clock time synchroniser

The Telefault GPS provides timing accurate to ±1 µs using the international satellite Global Positioning System (GPS). Inexpensive and easy to install, it can be used with all makes of equipment.

The ability to provide time synchronisation to 1 µs accuracy over a wide area, as covered by a power system network, has opened up new possibilities for the secure and reliable operation of electrical power systems. Precise time tagging of fault data is invaluable for post-fault analysis and will ultimately lead to improved efficiency and greater reliability in system operation.
